Bigg Boss 17: Anurag Dobhal says he had suicidal thoughts after being evicted

YouTube sensation Anurag Dobhal, from ‘Big Boss 17’, spoke out in a candid vlog about contemplating self-harm post his eviction from the show due to the producers not allowing him to contact his family. In a YouTube vlog titled “Big Boss 17 And Salman Khan Exposed - The Untold Truth”, Anurag recounted his journey from digital star to television celebrity, discussing his initial spats with Ankita Lokhande over the thought that influencers have visibility owing to TV stars. He admitted feeling isolated in the ‘Bigg Boss 17’ house and expressed dissatisfaction with the way his fanbase, Bro Sena, was joked about. Anurag stated, “Expressing myself had a negative outcome, and the host showed disinterest in conversing with me. It’s an isolation you can’t imagine when the house, the show, Bigg Boss, and even Salman sir are against you.” He acknowledged he was pleading for his and his Bro Sena's reputation in the lengthy video. Anurag then disclosed that the show made him perform a humiliating walk of shame in the house’s activity area. He confessed to never being able to forget that moment due to the eminent humiliation that he hadn't faced before. The YouTuber also confessed that he would daily retreat to the bathroom to cry for an hour, emerging only to show his readiness for a confrontation. “With Bigg Boss failing at demoralising me, they strategised an eviction,” he revealed. He was evicted via a task showcasing past rule violations which had caused him to be nominated for an entire season. Anurag claimed that Isha Malviya, responsible for giving eviction orders, was “pushed to modify her choice” and name him in the archive room. Following his subsequent ejection, Anurag shared his struggles with "suicidal thoughts in the hotel" where he was staying, which surfaced when he was prohibited from contacting his family for two days post the show. He admitted, “I was in a situation with no connection to the outside world or my parents. They didn’t return my phone or allow contact with my family. My thoughts turned suicidal, contemplating what I had done to endure this.” He ended by saying that the reality of his struggle was never broadcasted. He added, “God was with me so I didn’t take any extreme measures in the hotel... This is the truth that Bigg Boss never shared. However, the support I received from online interviews was a relief”.
