Berks County July 2026 Events Calendar

Looking for something to do with the kids, friends, or even solo this summer? Berks County’s parks, churches, and community groups have packed the calendar with a mix of outdoor adventures, tasty treats, and lively music.

July 22 – Night Hike at Angora Fruit Farm (502 Angola Road, Lower Alsace Township, 7:30‑9 p.m.) – Berks Parks staff will lead a guided stroll through the wooded trails of Antietam Lake Park after dark. July 23 – Sandwich Order Deadline – If you’re craving a classic ham‑and‑cheese or turkey‑and‑cheese sandwich, call Tammy at 610‑463‑7213 and place your order for $5 each. Pickup will be on August 3 between 3‑5 p.m. at the Pioneer Grange Hall, 46 E. Keller St., Topton.

July 25 – Family Fishing Day (Antietam Lake Park, 6‑8 p.m.) – No licence, no gear, no problem. Parks staff and rangers will hand out rods, bait, and even teach you how to tie a proper knot. Kids and adults alike can try their luck for free. Register ahead of time at the same county link.

July 25 – Huff’s Union Church Picnic (540 Conrad Road, Hereford Township, starting 4 p.m.) – Food and baked goods roll out rain‑or‑shine, with the Majestics providing music from 5‑8 p.m. (weather permitting). Kids 10 and under have a dedicated activity hour from 5‑6 p.m. Remember to bring a lawn chair; service animals only, no pets.

July 25 – Fifth Annual Back‑to‑School Bash (Calvary United Church of Christ, 1231 Route 100, Washington Township, 9 a.m.–noon) – Free school supplies, clothing, a “touch‑a‑truck” showcase, inflatables, live music, and refreshments create a festive start to the school year.

July 29 – Guided Sunset/Full Moon Kayaking (Stilling Basin at Blue Marsh Lake, 1280 Palisades Drive, Bern Township, departing 6 p.m.) – Paddle downstream the Tulpehocken Creek as the sun sets and the moon climbs. Aug 1 – Knee Deep in the Creek (Angora Fruit Farm, 10 a.m.–noon) – Kids 6 and up are invited to wade into a rocky stream and meet the critters that call it home. Wear old sneakers or water shoes and bring a dry pair for after‑hour. Registration is free.
