Bengaluru Blooms: A Spectacular Floral Extravaganza Transforms Cubbon Park!

Bengaluru, our very own Garden City, is once again living up to its name in the most spectacular fashion! Right now, the heart of the city, our cherished Cubbon Park, has been utterly transformed into a living, breathing tapestry of blooms for its annual flower show. It’s an absolute feast for the senses, I tell you, and folks are just pouring in to soak up every vibrant detail.

Kicking off on August 2nd and running all the way through to August 15th, this delightful spectacle is a joint effort by our dedicated Horticulture Department and the venerable Mysore Horticultural Society. You can almost feel the passion and hard work that’s gone into making this happen. What really caught my eye, and indeed everyone else's, are the incredible floral renditions of some of Bengaluru's most iconic landmarks. Imagine seeing the majestic Bangalore Palace, the imposing Vidhana Soudha, the elegant Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, and even Cubbon Park's very own charming Bandstand – all crafted entirely from delicate petals and lush greenery! It’s truly a testament to the skill and artistry of the horticulturists.

And oh, the flowers themselves! It’s a riot of color wherever you look. You'll find cheerful marigolds, vibrant zinnias, fiery celosia, delicate petunias, and stately salvias, among countless other varieties. Each display is thoughtfully arranged, creating a kaleidoscope effect that's simply mesmerizing.
