Further reinforcing their commitment to law and order, prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC have been clamped down, effectively banning any unauthorized public gatherings or demonstrations.

This move directly led to the cancellation of the Gyarvi Sharif procession, a significant religious event that typically draws large crowds, with officials emphasizing that no permission had been granted for the procession to proceed.

A massive deployment of security forces, including units of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and the Rapid Action Force (RAF), has been mobilized across sensitive areas of the city.
