Arunachal Pradesh Stands Tall: CM Khandu Leads Heartfelt Tributes to Police Martyrs on Commemoration Day

Addressing a gathering of senior police officials, bereaved families, and community members, CM Khandu highlighted the critical role law enforcement plays in maintaining peace, security, and the rule of law.

Police Commemoration Day, observed annually on October 21st, commemorates the supreme sacrifice of ten CRPF personnel who were ambushed by Chinese forces in Hot Springs, Ladakh, in 1959.

This day serves as a solemn reminder of the perils faced by police forces across the country and provides an opportunity to honor the memory of all those who have laid down their lives in service. Chief Minister Khandu emphasized that the sacrifices made by these heroes are etched permanently in the nation's collective memory and serve as an enduring inspiration for future generations.

The Chief Minister also reiterated his government's steadfast commitment to the welfare of police personnel and their families.

He assured that all necessary measures would be taken to provide support, care, and opportunities for the families of the fallen, acknowledging that no amount of compensation can truly replace the loss of a loved one. Various initiatives aimed at improving working conditions, modernizing police infrastructure, and enhancing training capabilities were also mentioned, underscoring the state's dedication to strengthening its law enforcement agencies.
