The star of The Last of Us started off by saying that the nominees in the category were “delivered by some of the most famous voices in the music industry.” Related Stories News America Ferrera Delivers Powerful Speech About Importance Of Representation At Critics Choice Awards News Critics Choice Awards: Paul Giamatti & Emma Stone Take Lead Acting Awards; ‘Oppenheimer’ & ‘Barbie’ Lead Field; ‘Beef’ & Succession’ Top TV – Updating Live Ramos proceeded to name Billie Eilish, Lenny Kravitz and Dua Lipa as the “famous voices.” Ramsey continued to read off the teleprompter and said, “Then there are the actors who also think that they are singers.” Ramsey then named Jack Black, DeBose and Ryan Gosling as the representation of those in the “batch” of “actors who think they are singers.” The camera panned over to DeBose, who was seemingly puzzled by her mention but proceeded to put on a smile and laugh at the joke.
