Another Bump in the Road? Tesla Recalls Over 63,000 Cybertrucks for Parking Light Glitch

The electric vehicle giant is calling back more than 63,000 Cybertrucks over an issue with their front parking lights, specifically the dazzling daytime running lights (DRLs) that help make the vehicle so distinctive on the road.

The problem, identified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), revolves around an inconsistent gap between the outer edge of the front DRLs and the bumper.

This seemingly minor misalignment has a crucial safety implication: it can cause the lights to appear significantly dimmer than required by federal safety standards. In essence, the vehicle's visibility to other road users could be compromised, especially during dawn, dusk, or adverse weather conditions, naturally increasing the risk of an accident.

A total of 63,493 Cybertrucks are impacted by this latest recall.

For owners who might be feeling a sense of déjà vu, it's worth noting this isn't the first time the polarizing electric truck has faced a recall. Earlier this year, Tesla initiated a recall for thousands of Cybertrucks due to an accelerator pedal issue that could cause it to get stuck, posing another potential safety hazard.
