Anil Vij Uncovers 'Parallel BJP' Operation, Ignites Intra-Party Storm in Ambala Cantt

Veteran BJP leader Anil Vij, a towering figure in Haryana politics and the former home minister, has ignited a fresh political firestorm with his scathing allegations against the party’s functioning in Ambala Cantt. Vij, known for his no-holds-barred approach, has publicly claimed the existence of a “parallel BJP” unit operating within the constituency, systematically sidelining him and his loyal cadre.

This explosive revelation comes on the heels of the recent appointment of Naveen Gulati as the mandal president by the BJP state unit.

Vij vehemently asserts that this decision was made without his consultation and, more critically, ignored his recommendations entirely. He argues that this move has effectively cemented a separate power structure, deliberately designed to undermine his decades of influence and hard work.

In a pointed address, Vij highlighted a glaring omission: not a single one of his long-standing supporters, including block samiti members, municipal councillors, and even former municipal council presidents, found a place in the newly constituted mandal executive committee.

“Am I not an MLA from Ambala Cantt?” he questioned indignantly, emphasizing his seniority and commitment to the constituency. He openly challenged the party leadership, asking, “Are two BJP units being run here simultaneously?”

The seasoned politician, who boasts a political career spanning back to 1970, expressed profound disappointment at what he perceives as a blatant disregard for his contributions and loyalty.

“We have always worked tirelessly for the party’s welfare, but our patience is wearing thin,” he declared, indicating a significant breach of trust. He went on to issue a veiled warning, stating that if the situation remains unaddressed, he and his supporters would be compelled to “explore other options,” signaling a potential escalation of this intra-party strife.
