Kaushik Reddy – a name that surfaces in the local real‑estate circles – apparently let his frustration boil over when his franchise, Ananya, bowed out in the semifinals of the Kurnool Badminton Premier League.

According to the district police, the businessman, who holds a valid licence for a .32‑calibre revolver, pointed the weapon at the ground and pulled the trigger three times. The shots rang out, startling onlookers, but, thank goodness, nobody was hit.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Raghavendra, speaking to PTI, described the act as “a burst of frustration” rather than a pre‑meditated assault. “Kaushik fired three rounds into the ground after his team lost,” he said. “Fortunately, there were no injuries.”
