AI‑Travel Startup 30 Sundays Lands $6.7 Million Series A Led by Bessemer Venture Partners

Bengaluru‑based holiday‑planning platform raises ₹61 crore to speed up global expansion

30 Sundays, the video‑first AI travel planner founded by Anuj Punjani and Kshitij Chaudhary, has closed a ₹61 crore (≈$6.7 M) Series A round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with backers Info Edge and Eximius Ventures.

In a move that could reshape how Indians book a getaway, Bengaluru‑based 30 Sundays announced a fresh infusion of capital – roughly ₹61 crore (about $6.7 million) – in a Series A round. The round was spearheaded by Bessemer Venture Partners, a name most tech founders recognize, and joined by earlier supporters Info Edge Ventures and Eximius Ventures.

Founded by tech‑savvy duo Anuj Punjani (co‑founder & CTO) and Kshitij Chaudhary (co‑founder & CEO), the platform markets itself as an AI‑native, video‑first holiday‑planning service. Instead of scrolling endless lists of hotels, users can simply talk to a conversational AI, watch short video snippets of destinations, and let the system stitch together a customized itinerary.

"We wanted to bring a bit of the personal travel agent experience back, but super‑charged with AI," Chaudhary told reporters. The fresh funds will, according to the founders, go straight into scaling the product, beefing up engineering and AI talent, and pushing marketing efforts into new geographies.

Speaking of geography, 30 Sundays isn’t just eyeing more Indian cities. The company already launched operations in Mauritius and is now eyeing a rollout in New Zealand. In the pipeline are a handful of emerging markets – Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and the Philippines – where the founders see a sweet spot for tech‑enabled travel planning.

Industry observers note that the timing feels right. While the global travel market is still shaking off pandemic‑era jitters, Indian consumers are increasingly comfortable with AI‑driven recommendations. By marrying video content with conversational AI, 30 Sundays hopes to cut through the noise and make planning feel as easy as chatting with a friend.

For now, the startup’s roadmap is clear: expand the team, deepen the AI capabilities, and turn its modest presence in a few islands and countries into a recognizable brand across the Asian‑Pacific region. If the funding round is any indication, investors believe the formula has serious upside.
