Adani Green Energy’s H1 FY27 EBITDA Jumps 41% to Rs 7,957 crore
The renewable giant posted a 41% YoY rise in half‑year EBITDA, driven by higher power sales, portfolio expansion and a big push into battery storage.
Adani Green Energy Ltd. announced that its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) from power supply climbed 41 percent year‑on‑year, reaching a hefty Rs 7,957 crore for the first half of FY27. Not a small feat, especially when you consider revenue from the same segment also rose 36 percent to Rs 8,299 crore.
What’s behind the numbers? Energy sales jumped 32 percent to 25,747 million units between April and September, a clear sign that the company’s renewable farms are humming along nicely. In the July‑September quarter alone, EBITDA surged 51 percent to Rs 3,835 crore, while power‑supply revenue grew 45 percent to Rs 4,019 crore.
The growth story extends to capacity too. Adani Green’s operational renewable portfolio swelled 24 percent YoY, now standing at 20.8 GW after adding roughly 4,083 MW of new solar, wind and hybrid projects. Capital spending rose in step, up 38 percent to Rs 17,160 crore, underscoring the firm’s aggressive expansion play.
Battery storage is getting its own spotlight. In Q2 the company pumped another 3,081 MWh into its battery energy storage system (BESS), pushing cumulative capacity to 6,632 MWh – more than half of all operational battery storage in India today. CEO Ashish Khanna hinted that further additions could push the firm past its FY27 target of 10 GWh.
Looking ahead, Adani Green isn’t slowing down. Plans are afoot for a massive 30 GW renewable hub at Khavda in Gujarat, and the firm remains on track to hit its 50 GW target by 2030. Financially, net‑debt to run‑rate EBITDA sits at 5.6 times, a comfortable cushion as the company scales.
