Acer Unveils Updated Swift Go 14: Light, Fast, OLED and Intel Arc Power

At this year’s IFA in Berlin Acer quietly slipped an upgraded version of its ultra‑light Swift Go 14 into the spotlight. The changes are not just incremental – they feel like a real step forward for a laptop that already prided itself on being thin, light and affordable.

First off, the heart of the machine now runs on Intel’s latest Core Ultra lineup. Where the original model topped out at the Core Ultra 9 386H, the new Swift Go 14 can be ordered with a Core Ultra 5 338H, a Core Ultra X7 358H or even the top‑end Core Ultra X9 388H. All three chips belong to Intel’s Panther Lake family and, crucially, they ship with the newer Arc B370 or Arc B390 integrated graphics rather than the older Xe3 iGPU.

In plain English, that means you’ll see roughly a 95 % jump in gaming performance with the B370 and a staggering 111 % boost with the B390 compared to the previous 4‑core Xe3 solution. Those numbers were confirmed in our own bench tests, where simple titles like Valorant and Elden Ring ran noticeably smoother, and the laptop stayed cool enough that you don’t have to worry about fan‑whine on a coffee‑shop table.

Visually, the Swift Go 14 also got a makeover. Acer kept the 14‑inch chassis but upgraded the screen to an 1800p OLED panel that cranks out a buttery‑smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. Colours pop, blacks are truly black, and the high refresh rate makes scrolling through webpages feel almost cinematic. All of that sits inside a shell that weighs just 1.12 kg – still feather‑light enough to toss into a backpack.

Memory and storage options have been expanded, too. Buyers can now select up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, which pairs nicely with a 1 TB NVMe SSD. The battery is a respectable 71 Wh, promising a full day of mixed‑use if you keep the OLED brightness moderate.

Pricing, however, is a little uneven. So far the upgraded configurations are only listed on Acer’s Hong Kong and Singapore websites. The entry‑level Core Ultra 5 338H model with 16 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD starts at about SGD 15,489 (roughly $1,975). The Core Ultra X7 358H version – which adds the 32 GB RAM and the 120 Hz OLED – sits between SGD 2,799 and SGD 3,199, while the top‑tier Core Ultra X9 388H retails for SGD 3,499 (around $2,765). No word yet on when or if the models will appear in Europe or the Americas.

All things considered, Acer’s refreshed Swift Go 14 feels like a purposeful redesign rather than a simple refresh. By marrying the new Arc graphics with a high‑refresh OLED panel and generous RAM options, the laptop finally matches the performance expectations set by its price tag, all while staying comfortably portable.
