He’ll be receiving it, of course, from the venerable Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha Swami of Sri Palimaru Mutt, who will be concluding his two-year term. So, what exactly happens during 'Akki Muhurta'? Well, the name itself offers a clue: "Akki" means rice. This beautiful ceremony involves the symbolic collection of rice from villagers and devotees. The ceremony itself is slated to kick off around 10:30 a.m. at Sri Krishnapura Mutt, an important starting point for the new Paryaya seer's journey.

Given the sacred nature and the expected attendance of dignitaries, entry inside the Sri Krishna Mutt on November 28th will indeed be limited.
