Captain Antony, a master mariner with a truly global footprint, brings an impressive depth of experience to the vital operations of Port Windsor. Currently, he’s serving in a key leadership capacity within Marine Safety at Transport Canada, based in Northern Ontario’s Thunder Bay. But his career tapestry is, frankly, quite remarkable. Before his time with Transport Canada, he held senior marine positions that took him across continents, including a distinguished stint as Harbour Master and Manager of Marine Operations at Drydocks World in bustling Dubai. And that's not all; he also contributed his expertise at Memorial University of Newfoundland, adding an academic and research dimension to his practical maritime prowess. It's abundantly clear that Port Windsor is gaining a leader whose breadth of knowledge spans vast oceans and incredibly diverse operational environments.

Meanwhile, as one chapter closes, another begins with a respectful nod to the past. Peter Berry, who first stepped into the crucial role of Harbour Master back in July 2009, has been a steadfast pillar of the Windsor Port Authority for seventeen years. His commitment and vision have profoundly shaped the port, serving not just as the primary Traffic Control Officer and Enforcement Officer, but also as the critical Port Security Officer. Beyond his local duties, Berry’s influence reached far and wide; he's been a Vice Chair on the Executive Committee of the US Coast Guard Southeast Michigan Area Maritime Security Committee, chaired the Association of Canadian Port Authorities Security Committee, and was an executive member of the National Ports Security Committee. His extensive background even includes impactful service with the Canada Border Services Agency in Vancouver and Ottawa, and, quite notably, with the United Nation Sanctions Assistance Mission in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, where he honed his skills as a border patrol officer and investigator in Serbia and Kosovo. Talk about a distinguished career dedicated to security and maritime excellence!
