She was born on August 27, 1928, to Howard and Myrtle Thayer, beginning a journey that would touch countless lives with her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness.

June's roots ran deep in Huntington Beach, a place she called home for nearly a century. She grew up in the kind of Huntington Beach many of us only hear stories about now, graduating from Huntington Beach High School with the class of 1946. It was here, in her cherished hometown, that she met and fell in love with Stanley "Stan" Dugmore. Their connection blossomed into a beautiful marriage that spanned an incredible 69 years, a true testament to enduring love and partnership. Sadly, Stan preceded her in death, but their bond, without a doubt, continued beyond their earthly years.

Family was, quite simply, the very core of June's world. She was a devoted mother to Bruce (and his wife, Pam) and Diane (and her husband, Tom Miller), pouring her heart and soul into raising them. And then came the grandchildren – Brandon (with his wife, Stephanie), Ryan (with his wife, Carly), Kelly Miller, and Scott Miller – each one a source of immense pride and joy. The family grew even further with the arrival of her four cherished great-grandchildren: Kaia, Blake, Luke, and Levi. Oh, how she adored those little ones; her eyes would simply light up whenever they were near. She nurtured and loved each generation, creating a warm, vibrant home filled with laughter and unwavering support.

Beyond her role as a loving homemaker, June found immense joy in a variety of passions. She was an avid golfer, spending countless hours on the greens, enjoying both the challenge of the game and the camaraderie of her fellow players. Her garden was a vibrant testament to her green thumb, a place where she could cultivate beauty and find peace amidst the blooms. Bridge games were a regular delight, sharpening her mind and fostering cherished friendships. And of course, travel was another love; she and Stan explored the world together, collecting memories and stories to share. Yet, above all these wonderful pursuits, it was time spent with her beloved family that truly filled her cup.

June also believed deeply in giving back to her community. She was a dedicated and active member of the First Christian Church of Huntington Beach, where her faith provided a constant source of strength and guidance. Not only that, but she also dedicated her time and energy to the Assistance League, embodying a spirit of service and generosity that inspired those around her. It wasn't just about being present; it was about truly contributing, making a difference in the lives of others, quietly, consistently, and with genuine warmth.

June Louise Dugmore leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and a life gracefully lived. She will be profoundly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
