Born Wanda Mary Kowalski on December 15, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, Wanda grew up with a deep appreciation for family, faith, and hard work.

These values would become the cornerstone of her remarkable life. She carried the traditions of her Polish heritage with pride, often sharing stories and recipes that brought joy and a sense of connection to her loved ones. Her home was always filled with the comforting aroma of freshly baked goods and the lively chatter of family gatherings, embodying her belief that a strong family bond was life's greatest treasure.

In 1958, Wanda married the love of her life, Edward Bartoszek.

Their partnership was a beautiful testament to enduring love, mutual respect, and shared laughter, lasting an inspiring 65 years. Together, they built a home in Palos Park, Illinois, where they raised their two cherished children, Mary (John) Smith and Michael (Susan) Bartoszek. Wanda poured her heart into her role as a mother, instilling in her children the same values of compassion, integrity, and perseverance that guided her own life.

She was their unwavering support, their confidante, and their greatest cheerleader.

Beyond her immediate family, Wanda extended her boundless love to her four adored grandchildren: Emily, David, Sarah, and Kevin, and her two precious great-grandchildren, Lily and Noah, who brought a special sparkle to her later years.
