A Father's Heart-Wrenching Plea: 'Give My Son a Chance to Live!'

In a desperate cry echoing through the corridors of power, a father from Lucknow, Ashok Kumar Yadav, has made a fervent appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu. His only wish: to secure a life-saving Russian cancer vaccine for his 22-year-old son, Aman Yadav, who is bravely battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

This isn't just a request; it's a soul-stirring plea from a man who has exhausted every resource, sold every possession, and now places his last hope in the highest offices of the nation.

Aman's arduous journey began in 2021 when he was first diagnosed with the aggressive blood cancer. What followed was a grueling regimen of chemotherapy, culminating in a bone marrow transplant.

For a brief period, hope flickered, but tragically, the cancer returned, relentless and unforgiving. The family then sought advanced treatment at a private hospital in Mumbai, where doctors recommended CAR-T cell therapy – a groundbreaking treatment offering new possibilities.

However, the cost of this life-extending therapy in India proved insurmountable, a staggering Rs 40-50 lakh.

The family's limited savings were quickly depleted. Yet, a glimmer of hope emerged from an unexpected quarter: Russia. Aman's father discovered a clinical trial in Russia for a similar CAR-T cell therapy, which was significantly more affordable at Rs 20 lakh. With renewed determination, Ashok Kumar managed to arrange the initial funds, and Aman traveled to Russia for the treatment.

The therapy showed promising results.

Aman responded well, and the initial phase of treatment brought a much-needed reprieve. But the full course of treatment, vital for sustained remission, required additional funds – funds that Ashok Kumar simply did not possess. He had already sold his home, exhausted his life's savings, and borrowed from every possible source.

Facing the cruel reality of financial limitations, Aman had to return to India, his treatment incomplete, his future hanging precariously in the balance.

Now, with his son's life teetering on the edge, Ashok Kumar Yadav has turned to the highest authorities. He implores the Prime Minister and the President to intervene, to facilitate the access and funding for the completion of Aman's CAR-T cell therapy in Russia.
