A Deadly Secret Unveiled: Odisha Wife and Lover Arrested in Husband's Murder

Just a day later, on March 14, the Jagatsinghpur police announced the arrests of two individuals: Laxmidhar's very own wife, Sabita Jena, and her alleged lover, Dillip Jena. It's a story that, sadly, has become all too familiar in its tragic outline – an extramarital affair leading to a calculated, deadly plot.

According to Superintendent of Police Rahul PR, the motive behind Laxmidhar's untimely death was chillingly clear. Sabita and Dillip were reportedly entangled in a clandestine relationship, one that Laxmidhar had discovered and vehemently objected to. This objection, it seems, sealed his fate. Consumed by their desire to continue their affair unobstructed, the couple allegedly conspired to eliminate Laxmidhar. The plan came to fruition on the night of March 12-13, when Laxmidhar was tragically strangled to death. Afterward, in a cold attempt to conceal their heinous crime, his body was dumped near the canal.

The swiftness of the police action, leading to the arrests of both Sabita and Dillip Jena, has brought some measure of closure to the initial mystery surrounding Laxmidhar's death.
