But where does one get the kind of money needed for multiple iPhones when, presumably, legitimate means aren't readily available? For Shubham and Durgesh, the answer, tragically, lay in an under-construction building in Nagpur's Omkar Nagar. Picture this: a site filled with expensive, gleaming fixtures, waiting to be installed. A veritable treasure trove, they must have thought, for their ambitious plan.

So, on the quiet night of April 28th, they allegedly executed their plan. They weren't after just any old taps, mind you. No, these were high-end, branded bathroom fittings, the kind that scream luxury. They reportedly made off with a haul worth a staggering Rs 6.5 lakh – that's quite a sum for plumbing supplies! The objective was clear: liquidate these valuable items, then head straight to the nearest electronics store for those coveted iPhones.

It all sounds a bit like a poorly planned heist movie, doesn't it? And like most such plots, this one had a rather swift and inglorious end. The police, from the Hudkeshwar station, weren't going to let a theft of such magnitude slide. They meticulously scoured CCTV footage from the area. And wouldn't you know it, their investigation soon led them straight to Shubham and Durgesh.

Upon their arrest, the police recovered a significant portion of the stolen goods – 32 expensive taps, still worth a hefty Rs 6.5 lakh. And yes, they also found three shiny iPhones. To add insult to injury, two motorcycles, which were reportedly used in the commission of the crime, were also seized. The young men now face charges under IPC sections 457, 380, and 34, serious offenses for a fleeting moment of perceived romantic grandeur.
