All those scary evacuation orders, stretching from Cinnabar Creek all the way to Westshore Estates, have been officially downgraded. Yes, you heard that right – they're now just alerts, which means a cautious return home is finally underway for so many.

This significant step, announced last Friday, August 15th, didn't just stop there. Even better, for those in the Wilson's Landing area, south of Cinnabar Creek, their evacuation alerts were completely lifted! Imagine the collective sigh of relief in those communities; it's truly a moment they've been longing for after weeks of uncertainty and worry.

Getting everyone back home isn't a free-for-all, though. Authorities are managing a phased re-entry, a smart and necessary move to ensure safety and order for everyone involved. Residents are being directed to come in via the south end of Westside Road, coming up from West Kelowna.
