The grand inauguration was graced by Karnataka's Minister for Rural Development & Panchayat Raj and IT/BT, Priyank Kharge, alongside Hari Marar, MD & CEO of Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL), and the visionary founder of Mitti Cafe, Alina Alam.

Their presence underscored the profound impact this initiative has on both the community and the broader understanding of disability.

Mitti Cafe's model is beautifully simple yet profoundly effective: it operates cafes run entirely by adults with disabilities, fostering an environment where they can thrive, gain independence, and contribute meaningfully to society.

The cafe offers an array of delicious and affordable food and beverages, proving that a business can be both commercially viable and deeply socially responsible.

The journey at KIA began in 2022 with the first Mitti Cafe at Terminal 1, followed by another in the arrivals area.
