6th Annual Naperville Irish Fest: Two Days of Music, Dance, Hurling and More

Mark your calendars, because the 6th Annual Naperville Irish Fest is back – and bigger than ever. From the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 18 through the evening of Saturday, Sept. 19, Central Park will transform into a lively celebration of all things Irish, complete with music that makes you tap your feet and food that makes you linger a little longer.

Doors open at 4 p.m. on Friday and stay open until 10 p.m., while Saturday kicks off at noon and runs right up to 10 p.m. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Irish culture or just curious about hurling (yes, that’s the sport where players swing a wooden stick at a small ball), there’s something on the schedule that will catch your eye.

Friday’s lineup starts with the spirited McNulty Irish Dancers at 4 p.m., followed by Mulligan Stew at 5:15 p.m. If you’re still hungry for more, On the Lash takes the stage at 6:45 p.m., and the night closes with the upbeat Classical Blast at 8:15 p.m.

Saturday’s program is a little longer, beginning with the Firefighters Highland Guard of Naperville at noon, then the Bailey Murray Academy at 12:25 p.m. The McNulty Irish Dancers return at 1:15 p.m., showing off their crisp footwork, before the Joyce Boys bring their youthful energy at 2:30 p.m. At 3:40 p.m., the Bentley Academy of Irish Dance adds another layer of tradition, followed by Celtic Roots at 4:55 p.m. The Chancers take the stage at 6:25 p.m., and the day ends on a high note with Reilly at 7:55 p.m.

If you’re a fan of a good pint, you won’t want to miss the special tasting events. Quigley's Irish Pub is hosting a Guinness tasting on Friday at 5 p.m., perfect for those who love that creamy, dark brew. Then, on Saturday at 2 p.m., Quigley's turns its attention to Irish whiskey, offering pours of Midleton Green Spot, Powers Irish Rye, Three Swallow, John’s Lane 12‑Year, and the coveted Gold Label. Tickets are limited, so grab yours early.

Beyond the music and drinks, the fest will feature a marketplace brimming with Irish‑themed goods – think handcrafted jewelry, Celtic art, and maybe even a souvenir tartan.
