UAE Business Leaders Set to Explore Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh This January

UAE delegation to visit Madhya Pradesh in January, eyeing projects across sectors

A UAE business mission, led by envoy Badr Jafar, will travel to Madhya Pradesh in January after preliminary scouting trips, targeting investments in renewable energy, infrastructure, tech startups and more.

In a move that underscores the growing economic ties between the United Arab Emirates and India, a delegation of Emirati business leaders is slated to land in Madhya Pradesh this coming January. The mission comes after a series of exploratory visits by smaller teams, designed to pinpoint viable projects across the state’s diverse economy.

Speaking to the press after a meeting with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in Dubai, Badr Jafar – the UAE’s Special Envoy for Business and Philanthropy and CEO of Crescent Enterprises – said the two sides have mapped out a “series of follow‑up visits” before the larger group arrives.

“We’ll do some reconnaissance in the next few months, identify promising opportunities, and then bring a broader delegation in January to try and seal the deals,” Jafar explained, his tone mixing optimism with a pragmatic acknowledgement of the work ahead.

India remains a priority market for the UAE, Jafar added, and the focus won’t be limited to a handful of sectors. “We’re looking at the whole spectrum of industry – from renewable power and industrial parks to logistics, smart‑city projects and technology‑driven enterprises,” he said.

The upcoming January delegation is expected to be a cross‑section of CEOs, investors and sector specialists. “We’ll ensure representation from different fields so that each opportunity gets the right expertise,” Jafar noted.

During their Dubai talks, Yadav and Jafar highlighted several areas where Madhya Pradesh offers fertile ground: clean energy ventures, large‑scale industrial infrastructure, ports and logistics hubs, sustainable urban developments, and tech‑focused startups that could benefit from international partnerships and market access.

Yadav is currently on a four‑day trip to Dubai (Sept 6‑9) as part of the state’s broader outreach to attract foreign capital. He will also attend the AIM Congress 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where he plans to meet global investors ahead of the Global Investors Summit slated for 2027.

Both officials seem confident that the dialogue will translate into concrete investments, reinforcing Madhya Pradesh’s ambition to become a hub for innovative, export‑oriented projects.
