Thoothukudi's Literary Extravaganza: The Sixth Book Fair Opens Its Doors!

The vibrant city of Thoothukudi has once again become a beacon for bibliophiles and curious minds alike, as the much-anticipated sixth edition of the Thoothukudi Book Fair officially opened its doors on June 7, 2024. Inaugurated by the esteemed Minister for Social Welfare and Women Empowerment, P.

Geetha Jeevan, the grand event is set to transform the VOC College Ground into a bustling hub of literary exploration for ten enthralling days, running until June 16.

Co-organized by the Thoothukudi District Administration and the Booksellers and Publishers Association of South India (BAPASI), this year’s fair is a testament to the growing love for literature in the region.

Visitors are welcomed into a meticulously curated space featuring a staggering 100 stalls, showcasing an extensive collection from over 70 diverse publishers.
