In a story that sounds more like a comic book subplot than a police report, a Florida man found himself in cuffs early Monday morning, not just for alleged burglary, but for doing so while clad in an outfit typically reserved for crime-fighting heroes: Batman pajamas.

The bizarre incident unfolded in Palm Coast, Florida, when deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office responded to a call regarding a possible break-in.

Witnesses reported seeing a suspect, dressed in dark clothing, making a swift exit from a residence on Bellington Drive, conspicuously carrying what appeared to be several large items.

Law enforcement quickly initiated an investigation, following leads that led them to a nearby address on Banyon Drive.

Upon taking the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Joseph Fantigrossi, into custody, deputies discovered he was wearing a full set of Batman pajamas.
