Taste of Laguna Food & Music Festival Cancelled for 2026

On Thursday, the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce announced with a heavy sigh that the 2026 Taste of Laguna Food & Music Festival will not happen as planned.

“It is with sincere regret that we must announce the cancellation of the 2026 Taste of Laguna Food & Music Festival,” the statement read, echoing the disappointment that many in the community are feeling.

The event was set for October 1 at the Festival of Arts grounds, a spot that usually buzzes with more than 30 local restaurants, award‑winning chefs, and a live set by the soulful band The Mighty Untouchables. It’s the kind of evening that brings neighbors together over shared plates and playlists.

Unfortunately, “unforeseen circumstances” have forced the organizers to pull the plug this year. While the exact details weren’t spelled out, the tone of the message was clear: they understand the let‑down and are truly sorry for any inconvenience.

All proceeds from the festival traditionally support the Chamber of Commerce, so the cancellation also means a shortfall for the nonprofit that relies on the event’s generosity.

Despite the setback, the organizers tried to look ahead. “We are incredibly grateful for your support of Taste of Laguna and for everyone who helped make this event possible,” they said, adding that they’re already gearing up for a big 2027 celebration—dubbed the Taste of Laguna Centennial Celebration.

For now, locals will have to settle for a quieter October night, but the promise of a larger, perhaps even more festive, 2027 event seems to be the silver lining.
