The entire ordeal began to unravel in the early morning hours of June 16, 2025. Picture this: a quiet start to a summer day shattered by a violent encounter on Salem's Commercial Street Southeast. According to the Marion County District Attorney's Office, Muhire attacked a woman there. But the terror didn't end with that initial assault. During the sentencing proceedings, which took place right here in Marion County Circuit Court, both Senior Deputy District Attorney Katharine Semple and Chief Deputy District Attorney Brendan Murphy represented the state.
