President Droupadi Murmu Embarks on Historic Three‑Nation European Tour to Deepen India’s Ties with Moldova, North Macedonia and Romania

On Monday, President Droupadi Murmu touched down in Chisinau, marking the first time an Indian head of state has set foot in Moldova. The visit, part of a three‑nation European tour, is being billed as a major push to sharpen ties not just with Moldova but also with North Macedonia and Romania.

In Moldova, the President is slated to meet President Maia Sandu and Igor Grosu, the speaker of the Moldovan Parliament.
