New Hampshire's Evolving Afternoon Weather

Well, hello there, New Hampshire! As we cruise through this lovely afternoon, it’s been quite the mixed bag out there for some of us, wouldn’t you say? We've seen a beautiful, sunny stretch for much of the morning, really a picture-perfect start to the day in many towns.

Right now, as I look out, we're still enjoying a good deal of sunshine breaking through in many areas, particularly across southern New Hampshire. It's truly a pleasant scene, with temperatures hovering comfortably in the upper 60s, maybe even touching the low 70s in a few very specific spots. There's just a really nice, crisp feel to the air, not too humid at all, making it perfect for an afternoon stroll or getting some outdoor chores done.

But, you know, things are starting to shift ever so slightly as we head deeper into the afternoon and closer to our evening plans. We’re tracking some clouds that are steadily making their way in from the west. They're not bringing any immediate trouble, thankfully, just kind of setting the stage, if you will, for what’s to come later on.

As we transition into the evening hours, expect those temperatures to take a bit of a dip, cooling down into the low to mid-50s overnight. Those clouds will continue to thicken up, creating a more overcast sky by bedtime for many of us. Don't be surprised if you wake up to a rather gray start tomorrow morning, perhaps even with a few sprinkles beginning to fall by daybreak, especially in western parts of the state.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, the big story is going to be the increased chance of rain. It won’t necessarily be a complete wash-out for everyone, which is good news, but definitely keep that umbrella handy. We're expecting scattered showers throughout the day, especially across central and northern New Hampshire. Temperatures tomorrow will be noticeably cooler, likely struggling to get out of the low 60s across much of the region, so you'll definitely want an extra layer.

So, enjoy the rest of this afternoon while we have it, New Hampshire! It's shaping up to be a bit of a change in the weather pattern, moving from pleasant sunshine to cooler, wetter conditions.
