Madras High Court Summons Netflix, Nayanthara's Producers Over Alleged Copyright Infringement in 'Beyond the Fairytale'

Responding to the gravity of the allegations, Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy of the Madras High Court has officially served notice to Netflix India, Rowdy Pictures (Nayanthara’s husband Vignesh Shivan’s production house), and the documentary’s director, Vignesh Shivan himself.

The court has set a firm deadline of July 22 for all parties to furnish their replies to the serious accusations. This isn't the first time the documentary has faced such hurdles; a similar injunction was previously granted in 2022, temporarily stalling its release, indicating a persistent and unresolved conflict over copyright issues.
