Lockport's Summer Nights Just Got Louder: The LockRocks Concert Series Kicks Off!

Can you feel that electricity in the air, Lockport? Summer has truly arrived, and with it, one of our absolute favorite community traditions is set to kick off: the LockRocks Free Concert Series! Get ready to tap your toes, sing along, and just generally have a fantastic time because this beloved event is making its grand return this Friday, June 28th, right in the heart of our vibrant town.

Picture this: a perfect summer evening at Central Square, the air buzzing with anticipation, and then—boom!—the first chords of live music fill the space. That's precisely what's on offer, starting with the high-energy Hairbangers Ball. They're all set to take the stage from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, ready to transport you back to the glorious era of '80s rock anthems. Seriously, who can resist a good power ballad or an epic guitar riff under the stars?

But LockRocks is so much more than just amazing bands, as wonderful as they are. It’s an entire evening out for the whole family, designed with everyone in mind. We're talking delicious offerings from a variety of food trucks, so whether you're craving something savory, sweet, or just a little bit different, you’ll find it. And for the grown-ups, the Public Landing Restaurant will be hosting a lively beer garden, ensuring a refreshing beverage is always close at hand. It’s really about creating that perfect relaxed, festive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

The Lockport Township Park District and the City of Lockport have really outdone themselves curating a stellar lineup for the entire summer. After Hairbangers Ball gets us off to an electrifying start this Friday, mark your calendars for The Eliminator on July 12th, bringing their high-octane ZZ Top tribute. Then, on July 26th, get ready to dance with Too Hype Crew and their incredible hip-hop experience. Finally, to close out the series on August 9th, Anthem will deliver a powerful classic rock tribute that’s sure to leave everyone wanting more.
