Jay Cutler Fires Back: Former NFL Star Addresses Kristin Cavallari's Post-Divorce Money Allegations

Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has officially broken his silence regarding ex-wife Kristin Cavallari's recent claims that he withheld money from her during their divorce proceedings. Speaking candidly on his podcast, "Uncut with Jay Cutler," the athlete pushed back against Cavallari's narrative, offering his side of the story.

The controversy ignited when Cavallari, 37, revealed on her own "Let's Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari" podcast that her divorce from Cutler, 40, was a trying period.

She alleged that he "blocked me from accessing money," which forced her to "scrounge up money" just to secure a new home. She vividly described the experience as having "no money," despite her individual success.

However, Cutler presented a different perspective. He clarified that the financial disputes revolved around the division of marital funds, a standard procedure in divorce.

"The only thing that was being withheld was marital money, which was half my money," he explained on his show. He emphasized that the court ultimately intervened, ordering him to pay temporary child support during the process.

Cutler adamantly denied ever neglecting his financial responsibilities towards their three children—Camden, 11, Jaxon, 9, and Saylor, 8.

"The kids were never not getting money," he asserted. Furthermore, he detailed how he continued to provide for Cavallari, stating he purchased her a new car and continued paying the rent on their primary residence until it was eventually sold. He underscored that throughout the proceedings, he never ceased paying for their children's needs.

The couple's highly publicized divorce was finalized in May 2022 after ten years of marriage.

Despite the past financial disagreements, both Jay and Kristin have publicly affirmed their commitment to successful co-parenting. Cavallari herself has recently shared that she and Cutler are now in a "really good place," highlighting their progress in navigating their post-divorce relationship for the sake of their family.
