Haryana Gears Up for 'Ayushman Bhav': A Mega Health Initiative on PM Modi's Birthday

Haryana is poised to mark a significant milestone in public health with the grand launch of the 'Ayushman Bhav' campaign on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. This ambitious initiative, spearheaded by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, aims to usher in an era of universal health coverage and robust healthcare services across the state.

The state-level launch event is scheduled to take place at the new OPD building in Sector 6, Panchkula.

Highlighting the comprehensive nature of the program, the Haryana Health Department, along with various other departments, has been diligently preparing to ensure its successful rollout. The core objective of 'Ayushman Bhav' is to guarantee that every citizen has access to essential health services, fostering a healthier and more resilient Haryana.

This expansive initiative is designed for phased implementation, ensuring its reach extends to every corner of the state.

It encompasses three pivotal components. Firstly, the 'Ayushman Aapke Dwar' (Ayushman at Your Doorstep) campaign will focus on widespread awareness, educating communities about various health schemes and preventive measures. This door-to-door approach aims to empower citizens with knowledge and encourage proactive health management.

Secondly, the 'Ayushman Mela' (Ayushman Fair) will see the establishment of health fairs at the block level.

These fairs will serve as critical hubs for the distribution of Ayushman cards, facilitate the creation of ABHA IDs (Ayushman Bharat Health Account IDs), and provide essential medical screenings. They are designed to bring healthcare services closer to the people, making it easier for them to access benefits.

Finally, 'Ayushman Sabha' (Ayushman Assembly) will organize gram sabhas (village assemblies) to conduct health screenings for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes and hypertension.

This proactive screening aims to detect conditions early, allowing for timely intervention and better health outcomes for individuals, particularly in rural areas.
