Free Tire Drop‑Off Week at Elk Grove Recycling Center

The hours are straightforward—9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day—so you can swing by after work or on the weekend without rearranging your whole schedule. And here’s the kicker: you don’t have to live in Elk Grove. Anyone residing anywhere in Sacramento County is welcome to bring their tires.

The site sits at 9255 Disposal Lane, right off Survey Road and Grant Line Road. When you arrive, you’ll find clear signage directing you to the drop‑off zone. Each household may drop off up to nine tires, whether they’re from a passenger car, motorcycle, truck, or even a bike. If the tire still has its rim attached, that’s fine too.

Do keep in mind a couple of limits. Oversized agricultural tires—think tractors and large farm equipment—are not accepted, as the facility isn’t equipped to handle them. Also, the nine‑tire cap is per collection event, not per day, so plan accordingly if you have a lot to dispose of.
