Explosive Allegations Rock Himachal Pradesh: Senior HAS Officer Accused of Exploitation, Officer Vehemently Denies Claims

A shocking controversy has erupted in Himachal Pradesh, as two women have come forward with grave allegations of sexual exploitation and blackmail against a senior Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officer, Jagdish Chand. Chand, who previously served as superintendent of the HP secretariat and is currently posted as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Fatehpur, Kangra, asserted that he had extended financial and personal help to the women solely due to their reported dire economic conditions. He claims they are now attempting to extort money from him, misrepresenting his altruistic gestures as nefarious actions.

The Chandigarh police have registered a case under stringent sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 376 (rape), 354-A (sexual harassment), 384 (extortion), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy).

The seriousness of the charges has prompted a thorough and meticulous investigation, with both women having undergone medical examinations to corroborate their claims.
