Early Voting Begins Oct. 19 at Lemont Township Community Center

Mark your calendars, Lemont neighbors – the early voting window swings open on Monday, October 19, at the Lemont Township Community Center on Alba Street. It’s the first chance to get your ballot in before the big November 3 General Election, and the schedule is designed to fit most busy lives.

From October 19 through 23, the doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., then a single‑day stretch on the 24th with the same hours. The 25th shortens a bit – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – before returning to the full‑day schedule for the rest of the week (Oct. 26‑30). Another brief 10 a.m.‑4 p.m. slot appears on November 1, followed by a final day of voting on November 2, 9 a.m.‑5 p.m.

What’s on the ballot? Voters will decide the governor’s race, a slate of county positions – clerk, sheriff, board members, treasurer, assessor – plus several judicial seats. There’s also a key referendum asking whether to raise the limiting rate for Lemont‑Bromberek Combined School District 113A by 0.36 percentage points, effectively setting the rate at 2.320037 % of the equalized assessed value for levy year 2026. In plain English, it’s about funding more school programs and improving facilities.
