Delhi Police Apprehend 26-Year-Old with Rs 30 Lakh Worth of Smack and Cocaine in Sultanpuri

It seems the fight against drug peddling in Delhi just saw another significant win. Authorities in Sultanpuri have recently apprehended a 26-year-old individual, Rahul, on charges related to drug trafficking. What they found on him was quite substantial – a stash of both smack and cocaine, drugs with a street value estimated to be in the lakhs.

The operation unfolded following a precise tip-off. Police had received specific intelligence about Rahul's movements, indicating he would be near the Ganda Nala area in Sultanpuri, allegedly involved in a drug deal. Acting swiftly on this crucial information, a dedicated team set up a trap. Their patience paid off; Rahul was intercepted and subsequently taken into custody, quite smoothly actually.

Upon searching him, officers discovered a significant quantity of illicit substances. We're talking about 250 grams of smack and an additional 50 grams of cocaine. When you combine that, the total haul is estimated to be worth approximately Rs 30 lakh on the international black market – a pretty hefty sum, underscoring the seriousness of this particular bust and the sheer volume of drugs involved.

It turns out this isn't Rahul's first brush with the law. A resident of Mangolpuri, he's apparently no stranger to criminal activity, with previous involvement in cases ranging from theft to robbery. This history certainly adds another layer to the ongoing investigation, suggesting a pattern rather than an isolated incident for the young man.

Following the arrest and seizure, an FIR has been registered against Rahul under the stringent Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
