Bull Chaos in Madhya Pradesh: Children and Woman Narrowly Escape

On a seemingly ordinary Tuesday afternoon in the Chakravarti Vihar Colony of Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, a routine walk home turned into a heart‑pounding scramble. Two massive bulls, locked in a fierce tussle, broke away from the road and barreled straight toward a small cluster of school‑aged children and a lady who were waiting on the pavement after school.

The scene was captured by a resident’s CCTV camera, and the shaky footage has since spread like wildfire across social media. In the video, the children are seen standing at the curb when, without warning, the bulls lunge forward, hooves pounding the asphalt. The animals’ horns flash as they charge, and the kids’ faces instantly switch from calm to terror.

Instinct takes over. The youngsters break into a panicked dash, scattering in different directions, while the woman tries to shield herself, only to be knocked to the ground as the beasts continue their frenzied sprint. Miraculously, the bulls do not gore or trample anyone; the children stumble away with bruises at worst, and the woman rises unhurt.

Local residents, who have long complained about stray cattle roaming the lanes, expressed renewed alarm after watching the clip. “We see cows and bulls on our streets all the time, but when they start fighting it becomes a real danger for anyone walking by, especially kids,” said one neighbour, his voice trembling.

The municipal corporation’s chief medical officer, PK Suman, told reporters that regular cattle‑catching drives are being conducted. Strays are either shifted to gaushalas or to designated animal shelters. Yet, despite these efforts, incidents like the one in Chakravarti Vihar persist, underscoring a gap between policy and on‑ground safety.

Community leaders are now urging the authorities to step up patrols, install more barriers, and perhaps rethink the entire approach to stray cattle management.
