In a testament to their unwavering determination, the Delhi Police Special Cell recently executed a daring and arduous operation, navigating a heavily flooded Yamuna belt to bust a major illegal arms manufacturing unit nestled deep within Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The team had to traverse several kilometers through a waterlogged, marshy terrain, at times with water levels reaching their waist. Upon finally reaching the secluded factory, the scale of the illegal enterprise became evident.

The raid yielded an impressive arsenal: 30 sophisticated semi-automatic pistols, 15 single-shot pistols, and a chilling collection of 20 live cartridges. More alarmingly, the premises were replete with an array of raw materials, sophisticated tools, and partially assembled components, confirming its active role as a manufacturing hub capable of churning out a steady supply of dangerous firearms.

The operation also led to the swift arrest of two individuals identified as Mohd Akram and Mohd Salman.

These men were reportedly integral to the factory's operations, involved in the production and distribution of the illegal weapons. Their apprehension marks a significant blow to the organized crime syndicates that thrive on the illicit arms trade, often fuelling violence and instability in urban centers.
