Arya, a former Minister of State in Uttarakhand, spoke quite frankly to the press, asserting that he and his family are being unfairly targeted. He believes it's all part of a political agenda, particularly with elections just around the corner. He claims that certain Opposition parties and individuals are intentionally making baseless allegations, presumably to gain some sort of advantage. "These are nothing but dirty politics, aimed at tarnishing our image," he expressed with conviction, adding that such tactics only serve to hurt the victim's family even more by diverting attention from the real pursuit of justice.

It's worth noting that the murder of Ankita Bhandari, a 19-year-old receptionist, sent shockwaves across the country last year. She was allegedly killed by Pulkit Arya, the owner of the Vanantara resort where she worked, along with two other accomplices, Saurabh Bhaskar and Ankit Gupta. The public outrage was immense, and the call for swift justice resonated loudly.

Vinod Arya vehemently denies any connection to the infamous Vanantara resort. He emphasized that neither he nor any of his family members hold shares or ownership in the property. He even went a step further, stating he had no contact whatsoever with Saurabh Bhaskar, one of the other accused in the case, who is reportedly Pulkit Arya's cousin. "My family has absolutely no stake or involvement with that resort. Period," he declared, making his stance crystal clear.

The BJP leader also took a moment to highlight his family's deep roots within the RSS and the BJP, stretching back generations. He pointed out his father's significant contributions to both the Sangh and the party, almost as if to underscore their long-standing commitment and, by extension, their integrity. He even mentioned that he personally helped provide security for Ankita's family after the incident, a gesture he feels speaks volumes about his intentions.

Arya insists he has been fully cooperative with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) from day one, having already provided his detailed statement. He expressed his trust in the ongoing investigation, maintaining that the truth will ultimately come to light. His message is clear: while his son faces serious charges, he himself is innocent of any involvement and won't tolerate being unjustly implicated.
