Armed Home Invasion Shakes Hamilton: Three Suspects At Large After Violent Robbery

Hamilton, ON – A terrifying armed home invasion has left a Hamilton neighbourhood on edge and police actively searching for three brazen suspects. The incident, which unfolded in the early hours of Tuesday morning, saw two residents assaulted in their own home before the culprits made off with cash and a vehicle.

According to Hamilton Police, the harrowing ordeal began around 1:30 AM when three armed individuals forced their way into a residence located on Dunsmure Avenue.

The two occupants inside the home were confronted by the intruders and subsequently assaulted, sustaining minor physical injuries during the frightening encounter.

After the assault, the suspects ransacked the property, ultimately fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and one of the victims' vehicles.

The stolen vehicle is described as a blue, four-door Honda Civic, bearing Ontario licence plate CSCW 448.

The victims were treated for their injuries, which police confirm were not life-threatening. The emotional impact, however, is undoubtedly significant following such a traumatic event.

Hamilton Police's BEAR (Break, Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery) Unit has taken over the investigation and is appealing to the public for assistance.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Dunsmure Avenue area during the early hours of Tuesday, or who has information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects or the stolen Honda Civic, to come forward.

The safety of the community is paramount, and police are working diligently to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for this violent crime.
