‘Mr. Bean’ Animated Series Returns for Fourth Season

The fourth season of "Mr. Bean: The Animated Series" is scheduled to make a global comeback in 2025. Banijay's Tiger Aspect Kids & Family have given the series the green light in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery and ITVX, under deals sanctioned by Banijay Rights. Dominated by Rowan Atkinson as the Executive producer and voiceover artist, the fourth season will contain 52 episodes of 11-minutes each, bringing the series total to 182 11-minute episodes. It will be televised on Cartoonito and HBO Max across Europe, Middle East and Africa, Warner Bros. Discovery’s kids channels and streaming services across Southeast Asia and South Asia, and ITVX Kids in the UK and Ireland from 2025, a year marking 35 years since the premiere of the first live action episode. The animated version tracks the adventures and shenanigans of Mr. Bean and Teddy. Tiger Aspect Kids & Family produce the series, under the guidance of Tom Beattie as the managing director and executive producer. With an ensemble crew consisting of Dave Osborne as director, Arnold Widdowson as producer, and Ciaran Murtagh and Andrew Barnett Jones as head writers. The original live action "Mr. Bean," a British icon co-created by Atkinson and Richard Curtis, debuted in 1990, whilst Atkinson started voicing the animated series in 2002. Aredo to its credit, the series has been telecast in 195 territories and has been in continuous distribution for over three decades. The franchise boasts an impressive 140 million followers on Meta, 72 million on YouTube, 10 million on Instagram, and 14.2 million on TikTok. According to Atkinson, who relishes playing the animated version of Bean that allows the character more freedom and him to escape the consequences, he is eager to plunge into the series again. Beattie joined in stating it was a privilege to return to such a unique series. Cathy Payne, CEO Banijay Rights, highlighted the longstanding partnership with Warner Bros Discovery and ITV and regarded Mr. Bean as one of the most loved characters in television comedy history. Zia Sands, of Warner Bros Discovery, expressed their excitement to continue to deliver the hilarious escapades of Mr. Bean to their viewers.
