‘Bookie’ Renewed for Second Season at Max

From creators Nick Bakay and Lorre and starring and based on the comedy of Sebastian Maniscalco, bowed Nov. 30 and wrapped its first season run Dec. 21. “The collaboration between Chuck and Sebastian has proven to be a winning hand and we’re looking forward to continuing the story with this incredibly talented cast and crew,” said Amy Gravitt, exec vp programming and head of comedy at HBO and Max.
The series, like all Lorre vehicles, is produced via his longtime studio, Warner Bros.
