Adani Hindenburg Row: Gautam Adani Says Truth Has Prevailed

India's Chief Justice, D Y Chandrachud, has directed the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to conclude its ongoing investigation within a three-month period. In response to a Supreme Court ruling regarding accusations from a US short-seller against his corporate company, billionaire Gautam Adani stated on Wednesday that the truth has ultimately prevailed. He added that his group will continue to support India's economic expansion. The Supreme Court decided on Wednesday that there was no necessity for a SIT or CBI investigation into the accusations against the Adani group. Instead, the capital market authority SEBI has been instructed to finish its investigation in three months.

Adani expressed his gratitude to those who supported him throughout this time on X, a social media platform previously known as Twitter. He reinforced his commitment to India's growth narrative in his post. A three-panel bench of the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, directed SEBI to wrap up its pending investigation within three months. The court stated that no further investigation was required. This ruling could potentially herald the conclusion of a controversial saga sparked by a critical report from Hindenburg Research against Gautam Adani's diverse conglomerate.
