Howard, tragically passed away following an accident on the mountain.

Reports indicate that Mr. Howard was found unresponsive on a slope, believed to have collided with a tree. The dedicated Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrol was on the scene swiftly, performing CPR, but despite their valiant efforts, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the local hospital. Local authorities, including the Mono County Sheriff's Office, are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding his death – a protocol, of course, for any such tragic event.

This heartbreaking news comes barely a week after another deeply concerning event shook the popular California resort. We're talking about the 12-year-old girl, Sydney Borchers, who experienced a horrifying fall from the Stump Alley Express lift.
