Sondra's journey began way back in 1937, born and raised in the heartland of Nebraska. She carried that prairie resilience and grounded wisdom with her throughout her entire life. After earning her degree in education – a calling she felt in her bones from an early age – she eventually made her way to Boulder, Colorado, a place that captured her heart with its majestic mountains and intellectual energy. A celebration of Sondra’s remarkable life will be held on Friday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Boulder Community Church, followed by a reception at the church hall. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Sondra’s name to the Boulder Valley School District Foundation, supporting their literacy programs, a cause so very close to her heart.
