A Heartfelt Plea: Help Us Find Sonya Williams

A Detroit family is utterly distraught, their hearts heavy with worry, as they desperately search for their beloved Sonya Williams. It’s been far too long since anyone has seen or heard from the 50-year-old woman, and with each passing moment, the anxiety only grows for those who care about her most.

Sonya was last spotted at her home, nestled comfortably in the 17000 block of Santa Barbara. That was late Tuesday night, specifically around 10:30 p.m. on February 2nd, 2026. She simply left her residence and, well, hasn't returned. The silence since then has been deafening for her family, who just want to know she’s safe.

To help jog memories and hopefully bring her home, the police have provided a clear description. Sonya is a Black woman, standing about 5 feet 3 inches tall, with an approximate weight of 150 pounds. She has warm brown eyes and black hair, features that might stand out to someone who’s seen her.

When she was last observed, Sonya was dressed rather simply, wearing a white shirt and black pants. Nothing particularly distinctive, which can sometimes make these situations even more challenging, unfortunately. But even the smallest detail can make a world of difference.

The Detroit Police Department is really leaning on the community now, hoping someone, anyone, might possess a crucial piece of information that could bring Sonya home safely. They understand that every little detail counts, no matter how insignificant it might seem to you at first glance.
