Australian opening batsman David Warner remains puzzled as to how his prized Baggy Green caps went missing and then were mysteriously returned during the third Test match against Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Prior to the commencement of his last game in the longest format of cricket, he had made an impassioned public plea for assistance in locating his caps that disappeared in transit between Melbourne and Sydney. Warner revealed that despite checking available CCTV footage at his team hotel and QANTAS airlines, he couldn't find any clues. In a surprising turn of events, mid-way through the match, his backpack containing the caps was returned. It was later disclosed by Cricket Australia that the bag had been discovered outside the team's hotel. Speaking at the post-match press conference, Warner humorously wished he could execute such a prank himself. He added that he was ignorant about the circumstances in which his caps were returned and suggested asking the security staff for more details. Warner ended his Test career on a high note, leading Australia to a comprehensive 3-0 series triumph with a hard-fought 57 in his final innings. His fifty was a fitting end to his Test career and was acknowledged by a subtle celebration.
