Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of specific Omnia wireless power bank models, urging consumers to cease using them without delay. The danger stems from the power banks' propensity to overheat, posing significant fire and explosion risks. So far, there have been a staggering 33 reports of these devices overheating, igniting, or even exploding.

These alarming incidents have resulted in property damage in 21 cases and caused minor burns to individuals in four instances.

The recall specifically targets Omnia wireless power banks identified by the model number PB1950. This includes the Omnia Q1, Omnia Q2, Omnia Q3, and Omnia P1 models. If you own any of these devices, especially if you purchased them between January 2021 and July 2023, you need to pay close attention.

These potentially dangerous power banks were widely distributed, sold at major retail chains such as Meijer, Target, and Verizon stores.

They were also available for purchase online through Amazon.com and Verizon.com. The widespread availability means a large number of consumers could be at risk.

Your immediate action is crucial if you possess one of these recalled power banks. The CPSC and Omnia strongly advise you to stop using the device right away.
