Tragedy Strikes Faridabad: AC Explosion Claims Three Lives, One Survivor

A pall of sorrow has descended upon Dabua Colony in Faridabad following a devastating incident where three members of a family tragically lost their lives due to suffocation after an old air conditioner unit exploded in their home. The heartbreaking event unfolded early Thursday morning, robbing a couple and their son of their lives, while leaving their daughter as the sole survivor.

The victims have been identified as 50-year-old Sanjay, his 46-year-old wife Sonu, and their 22-year-old son Tushar.

Their 19-year-old daughter, Deepika, miraculously escaped the deadly fumes, though the trauma of losing her entire immediate family in such a sudden and horrific manner will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark.

According to initial reports, the family was asleep when the old AC unit malfunctioned and exploded, quickly filling their residence with dense, toxic smoke.

The rapid spread of fumes led to the suffocation of Sanjay, Sonu, and Tushar before they could awaken or react to the unfolding disaster. Forensic teams and fire department officials have begun their investigation, indicating that suffocation from the smoke was the primary cause of death.

Police were alerted to the tragedy by neighbours who noticed smoke emanating from the house and heard Deepika's distressed cries.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, but by the time they managed to gain entry, the damage was already done. The bodies were recovered and subsequently sent for post-mortem examinations to confirm the exact cause of death.
